The Sabbath Dates

What becomes apparent from the Hebrew definitions above in connection with the Scripture verses below, is that the seventh-day Sabbath is indeed also a "sign." The implication of this is that the Sabbath, which punctuates the seven-day week of creation, is after all, reckoned by numbering from the "full" New Moon, making it a lunar Sabbath. In contrast there is no mention in Genesis, or anywhere else in Scripture that the Sabbath is reckoned by an unbroken-cycle-of-weeks, wholly disconnected from the Creator's principles that rule in the heavens (Genesis 1:14).

Notice it is the heavenly Father speaking. He is the one who preordained the Sabbath to be "a sign." Is it conceivable that the "signs" referred to in Genesis 1:14, and associated with days and years, may be eternally linked to "the week" ending with a "Sabbath?"

Moreover I also gave them My Sabbaths, to be a sign (#226 owth) between them and Me, that they might know that I am the Lord who sanctifies them. Yet the house of Israel rebelled against Me in the wilderness; they did not walk in My statutes; they despised my judgments, which, if a man does, he shall live by them; and they greatly defiled My Sabbaths. Ezekiel 20:12-13

I am the Lord your God: Walk in My statutes, keep My judgments, and do them; hallow My Sabbaths, and they will be a sign between Me and you, that you may know that I am the Lord your God. Ezekiel 20:19-20

They also who dwell in the farthest parts are afraid of Your signs ; you make the outgoings of the morning and evening rejoice. Psalms 65:88

Your enemies roar in the midst of Your meeting place; they set up their banners (counterfeit wall calendars with continuous weekly cycles) for signs. Psalms 74:4

We do not see our signs; there is no longer any prophet; nor is there any among us who knows time. Psalms 74:9

Do not learn the way of the Gentiles; do not be dismayed at the signs, of heaven - revolving celestial bodies) for the Gentiles are dismayed at them. For the customs of the peoples are futile . . . Jeremiah 10:2-3

In the final analysis of Genesis 1:14, a more correct translation would read:

Then God said, "Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let them be for lunar Sabbaths and lunar months, and for days and Lunar Solar years . . . Genesis 1:14

Is it possible that in the heavenly Father's great wisdom, these terms were encoded on purpose and connected to clues that would later be found?

In addition to days and years, signs and seasons are also counted from the "full" New Moons on Lunar Solar time:

The term “seasons” as found in Genesis 1:14 is discovered to mean “appointed fixed time, and signal.”

Next it is discovered in Psalms 104:19 that, “God appointed the moons for seasons.” This means that appointed fixed time is defined by the moon as they are counted from the New Moon. So without using the term “lunar month,” Psalms 104:19 defines the purpose of the term “seasons” in Genesis 1:14, leaving NO room for any kind of month in Scripture that is not lunar, with all monthly dates counted from the New Moon.

The Sabbath is established to be a “sign” in multiple Scripture verses. Ezekiel 20:12-13; Ezekiel 20:19-20; Psalms 65:88; Psalms 74:4, 9; Jeremiah 10:2-3.

The lights referred to in Genesis 1:14 are specifically shown and understood to be the sun, the moon and the stars. All the Creator’s time units are to be legislated by their three part orchestration. This is the ultimate test for knowing we are at this late day either in harmony with or out of harmony with our Creator’s universal time system. It is this three part orchestration that is referred to as Lunar Solar time.

Weekly Sabbath “signs” are included as a unit of time in Genesis 1:14 and are beaconed by Lunar Solar time, which is established by the three part orchestration of the sun, moon and stars.

Then God said, "Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs and seasons, and for days and years . . . Genesis 1:14

A more precise and relevant rendering of Genesis 1:14 might look something like this:

Then God said, "Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let them be for lunar Sabbaths and lunar months, and for lunar solar days and lunisolar years . . . Genesis 1:14

This second is found in Leviticus 23, which reveals the appointed holy feast dates are permanently fixed to seventh-day Sabbaths. Whether you believe the feasts are to be kept, and are binding today or not, is not the focus of this article. Rather, the purpose is to illustrate the timing of the Levitical feasts reveal the timing of the true and holy seventh-day Sabbath, and expose the cycling imposter.

Each and every time the Lunar Solar monthly feast dates are given, it is also illustrated their direct relation to the true seventh-day Sabbath. So, in the same way the feast days are locked to specific lunar monthly dates as counted from the "full" New Moon, so too are the seventh-day Sabbaths fixed in time to lunar dates. As a result, the feast days are forever locked together in time to the true seventh-day Sabbaths.

This chapter in Leviticus overtly illustrates that the true Sabbaths and their weeks are consistently linked with the lunisolar feast dates, so as they cannot be separated one from another. This can only occur consistently, if the Sabbath is also counted from the New Moon as are each of the holy appointed feast dates. Case in point, just as a unit can accurately pinpoint an exact location on earth by utilizing three or more celestial coordinates, so too, can our Heavenly Father's true Sabbath be identified, as the coordinates given in Scripture are appropriately utilized. These coordinates include: the sun, the New Moon, the stars, the lunar monthly feast dates, the numbered days of the week, making 5 actual coordinates in all. Refer to the image above often as you review each feast.

Feast of Passover, the 14th of Abib is always to be one day prior to seventh-day Sabbath, the 15th of Abib, each and every year. As a result the Sabbath is lunar, because it is shown to be fastened tightly to the dates counted from the New Moon.

Feast of Unleavened Bread commences on the Sabbath the 15th of Abib, each and every year. As a result the Sabbath is lunar, because it is shown to be fastened securely to the same date as the Feast of Unleavened Bread, which is counted from the New Moon. A second witness is that the first day of Unleavened Bread is also called a High Sabbath, for the very reason it is both a feast day and a seventh-day Sabbath.

Feast of First Fruits occurs on the 16th of Abib, the first day of the week, each and every year. As a result the Sabbath is lunar, because it is shown to be fixed firmly to the day prior to the Feast of First Fruits, as counted from the New Moon.

Feast of Pentecost is counted from the 16th of Abib, the day after the Sabbath, which was counted from New Moon. It is made up of seven whole Sabbath's complete. As a result the Sabbath is lunar, because it is shown to be fixed securely to the dates counted from the New Moon. The count commences on the day following Sabbath the 15th of Abib.

Feast of Trumpets is located on New Moon day itself, the first day marker of the seventh month. Because of the dates sited for Feast of Tabernacles below, as they are connected to the seventh-day Sabbath, all of the Sabbaths for the seventh lunar month are located on the 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th, and are counted from Feast of Trumpets (New Moon day).

Feast Day of Atonement is counted from the Feast of Trumpets (New Moon day) and is located on the 10th day of the seventh month. But to establish how it is related to the seventh-day Sabbaths for the month, we must look at the Feast of Tabernacles, as it is defined as consistently commencing on the seventh-day Sabbath of the 15th. As a result the Day of Atonement occurs five days earlier on the second day of the second week, two days after Sabbath the 8th, and five days prior to Sabbath the 15th.

Feast of Tabernacles commences on the 15th of the seventh month as counted from the New Moon and ends on the 21st day. Because the first day of this festival begins on a seventh-day Sabbath, it is also a High Sabbath. By clarifying that the day following the seven day feast (the eighth day) was also a seventh-day Sabbath (holy convocation), Yahuwah punctuated that His ordained week and seventh-day Sabbaths are reckoned by His sacred and holy lunisolar calendar system. As a result the holy seventh-day Sabbath is “lunar,” as it can only be found by counting from the New Moon. This evidence is illustrated by the Sabbaths being securely fixed to the lunar feast dates, which are counted from the New Moon.

This is demonstrated and clarified by this full week festival being “fixed” simultaneously to both the date of the lunisolar month, as well as to the specific days of the week, each and every year. This is the built-in checks and balances to insure the keeping of the true Sabbath on the correct calendar.

This Feast of Tabernacles can not be located correctly on any other form of calendar other than the calendar of divine origin, because the date is counted from the New Moon. What does that say about the true Sabbath of Scripture, falls on the first day of the Feast of Tabernacles each year? The same principles that apply to the appointed Feast days also apply to the holy Sabbath. So likewise, the true Sabbath can only be found by using the appointed the astronomical coordinates established at Creation- the sun, moon, and stars (

Genesis 1:14

), then they are counted from New Moon, in the same way as the feast. This illustrates that four "weeks" cycle within the confines of each lunar month, then begin afresh following the next New Moon.

It is from this appointed feast that the Sabbaths are found for the entire seventh lunar month, making it possible to show the relation of the seventh-day Sabbath to the Feast of Trumpets (New Moon day) and the Feast Day of Atonement.

Each of the feast days on earth were divinely designed rehearsals of prophetic proportions, pinpointing our Saviour’s true ministerial commencement on behalf of the true Temple in Heaven, which began right on time according to the preordained lunisolar appointed feasts.

The fact that this did occur at the precise appointed time is our greatest evidence that Yahushua (Jesus) was indeed the true Messiah. This occurred precisely on time, to the very day, Passover, Abib 14, A.D. 31. Heaven’s lunar Solar time system continues today, as our High Priest continues within its courts to intercede for sinners and bestow His Father’s forgiveness to all those who humbly confess.

Appointed lunar feast dates are permanently fixed to Seventh-Day Sabbaths.

It is illustrated via the seven appointed annual feasts that each of them are counted from the New Moon. This is most clearly observed in the Seventh Month count from Feast of Trumpets, located on New Moon day, to the first day of the Feast of Tabernacles, located on the 15th day of the lunar month.

Next it is illustrated by each of the appointed annual feasts that in every case they are permanently fixed to the rhythm and timing of the seventh-day Sabbaths, in their respective months.

It is discovered the appointed lunar feasts were divinely placed according to two criteria. This is displayed by the monthly date count from the New Moon, and their relation to a specific day of the week. This automatically fixes the cycle of weeks to the count from the New Moon. Therefore the week is forever locked to the lunar date count from New Moon. Seven times in Leviticus 23 this is illustrated, not once, or three times, but seven times so that this point would not be overlooked. In addition, this was to be the same placement each and every year, with no variation.

The true Sabbath can only be found by the same precise method on which the appointed annual feasts days are found. They must all be counted from the New Moon, making the dates for the Sabbath consistently fall on the 8th, 15th, 22nd, and 29th of each lunar month.

In A.D. 31, the crucifixion, rest in the tomb, and resurrection of our Messiah and Saviour met the requirement of the Levitical laws of Passover the 14th, Unleavened Bread the 15th (a high Sabbath), and the Feast of First Fruits, the 16th. At the time of the crucifixion the Sabbath fell on the 8th, 15th, 22nd, and 29th of each and every month, just as it had since the time of Moses and Creation. As a “nail in a sure place” by His death and resurrection, we have confirmation that indeed lunar Solar time is the time system of both the earthly and Heavenly Temple services and that the dates of the lunar month continue to this day to be fixed permanently to specific days of the week, thus making the Sabbath lunar.

The Scripture's defined week contains two kinds of days, while the lunar month contains three kinds of days.

Three Kinds of Days Each Month

Thus says the Lord GOD: "The gateway of the inner court that faces toward the east shall be shut the six working days; but on the Sabbath it shall be opened, and on the day of the New Moon it shall be opened. Ezekiel 46:1-2

Here in the book of Ezekiel we find a "thus saith Yahuwah" that He ordained three kinds of days each month, which are named and have specific function. Notice below that the "east gate" of the temple, being open or closed for worship, actually defines that these days can never overlap. New Moon days and Sabbaths are both identified as worship days in contrast to work days. Each day is either a work day or a worship day and can never be both. There is no guess work here. New Moon days will never fall on work days, just as Sabbaths can never fall on work days. Likewise, New Moon days can never be seventh-day Sabbaths, because the New Moon day must always be the first day of the month, as it marks the first day following the sighting of the "full moon" lunar phase.

Facts from Ezekiel 46:1

Two kinds of days make up the Biblical week – work days and Sabbaths.

But three kinds of days make up a Biblical month – New Moon days, work days and Sabbaths.

The east gate is opened for worship on both New Moon days and Sabbath days.

The east gate is shut for worship on work days.

Sabbath days and work days never overlap.

New Moon days and work days never overlap.

New Moon days and Sabbaths never overlap, as they were divinely designed as distinct kinds of days.

Therefore, the New Moon day that occurs once each month is never a work day or a seventh-day Sabbath.

However, by its very existence, the New Moon day breaks the cycle of work days and Sabbath days, each lunar month.

It is impossible for the Creator's weeks to have cycled without end, since creation, for the mere fact that there are three kinds of days and not just two, "as all the world have wondered after the Beast," in believing.

Cycling weeks cannot remain unbroken for 6,000 years, 6 months, or 6 weeks, for the very reason that the New Moon day exists and continues to stand as a beacon of time, thus breaking the week cycle each and every month.

All units of time are heralded by the three part orchestration of the sun, moon and stars, the great "principles that rule in the heavens". These alone bear the signature of the Creator.

But what about the modern calendar we keep with its cycling week?

Sunday, is only the first day of the modern cycling week because Rome devised an extra Biblical calendar and named the first day of their independent calendar week, Sunday. In like manner, Saturday is the seventh day of Rome's independent calendar and is utterly disconnected by design to the original Biblical and Hebrew time system of the three part orchestration of sun, moon and stars.

So what is meant by an independent calendar?

Calendation was originally given to mankind at creation and divinely designed for the purpose of worshiping the Creator exclusively, on His sacred appointed days in harmony with all heaven and the unfallen worlds. Calendation has always been about worship. In contrast to being dependant on the laws and benevolent love of our Heavenly Father, Creator and Redeemer, ancient mankind devised calendars to disassociate themselves from Him and His requirements, and in so doing declared their independence.

Neither the modern Roman Gregorian nor the early Julian calendar were the first calendars to be crafted by man for the purpose of disassociating from the "times and laws" of our heavenly Father. We refer to the early independent calendars as pagan. Interestingly, history bears out that the early pagan calendars continued to be connected in some way to the lunar phases. However, both of Rome's calendars were crafted to utilize only the sun and NOT the moon. In this way they followed in the footsteps of Egypt, the first pagan calendar to disassociate altogether from the divine three part orchestration of the sun, moon and stars, explicitly given at creation.

To change the calendar of our Creator is a deliberate attack on His authority and reserved right to be worshipped. It is also blatant idolatry, as it is a public admission to worshiping other gods. By default, anyone who willfully follows an independent pagan calendar for days, weeks, months and years, and holy days (holidays), is in reality breaking all of the first Four Commandments.

In the mid-1st century B.C. Julius Cæsar invited Sosigenes, an Alexandrian astronomer, to advise him about the reform of the calendar, and Sosigenes decided that the only practical step was to abandon the lunar calendar altogether. Months must be arranged on a seasonal basis, and a tropical (solar) year used, as in the Egyptian calendar. "The Julian Calendar," Encyclopedia Britannica.

Sabbath and New Moon (Rosh Hodesh), both periodically recur in the course of the year. The New Moon is still, and the Sabbath originally was, dependent upon the lunar cycle. Universal Jewish Encyclopedia, p. 410.

The Hebrew seven-day week, ending with the Sabbath, did not, of course, originate in Babylonia. The Sabbath day -- both Hebrew and Babylonian -- originated with the creation week and was transmitted down through the flood to Babylonia where Abraham was born. "The celebration of new-moon and full-moon festivals," remarks Hutton Webster, "which both Babylonians and Hebrews appear to have derived from a common Semitic antiquity, underwent, in fact, a radically unlike evolution among the two kindred peoples." "To dissever the week from the lunar month," continues Webster, "to employ it as a recognized calendrical unit, and to fix upon one day of that week for the exercises of religion were momentous innovations, which, until evidence to the contrary is found, must be attributed to the Hebrew people alone. Rest Days, p.254.

If you have been taught that only pagan calendars utilized the New Moon in their count of days, weeks, months and years, you have been deceived. The Bible speaks of the New Moon or lunar months nearly 300 times, which is twice as often as it speaks of the seventh-day Sabbath. While it is true that the pagans worshipped the sun, moon and stars, in place of their Creator, no one today thinks to exclude the sun as having a prescribed role in calendation. Yet, the use of the moon and stars for calendation, have been wholly abolished by Bible believers, under the pretext of paganism. How can this be?

It was our Creator who placed the sun, moon, and stars in the heavens at creation to define His times upon earth, as His ordained universal clock calendar. It is only as these three working together that we can find any of His holy days. All three time pieces were given that mankind could rightly divide the day from the night as well as define the four basic units of time, His weeks, His months, His days and His years. By design it is the only prescribed method to locating the true seventh-day Sabbath.

Then God said, "Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs and seasons, and for days and years; Gen 1:14

The call out of Babylon will continue until our Saviour's return. He is now calling His faithful out of false calendation, that they may worship Him alone, in spirit and truth, in preparation for a heavenly home. Would you like to be counted among the number who keep all His Ten Commandments, by worshiping the Creator and Redeemer according to His appointed calendar in the heavens?

When a man or woman is honestly mistaken and they hear the truth,
